Switzerland - Off-Piste Ski-Touring

Lötschental valley - as magical as it's name suggests

Dates throughout January 2025

OUTLINE

The Lötschental valley is just one hours drive from our home turf and especially in early season it is a superb location with endlessly long runs using the lift system known as Leuchneralp which quickly whisks you to 3000m.

On top of this the ski-touring gives access to incredibly wild and remote terrain. with many beautiful descents. We are putting together a weekend of adventurous off-piste skiing and ski-touring, ideal for those looking for a challenge. The ascent to the Petersgrat and the long powder ski descent that emerges through stunning mountain forest right at our hotel in Blatten is one of our favourite ski tours in Switzerland.

The Lötschental only became easily accessible with the opening of the Lötschberg tunnel in 1913 and the construtcion of the road in the 1950s. Thanks to this the Lötschental has retained a unique charm with its heritage, sun-blackened wooden houses and Valaisian granaries.
