Zinal to Zermatt Unplugged Ski Tour 11 - 15 April 2023
Every April since 2007, Zermatt hosts its own music festival with a great line up of international artists (previous years have included Paolo Nutini, Emile Sande, KT Tunstall.) We have long thought it would be fun to ski tour over from Zinal and enjoy a couple of days of Zermatt's world class skiing and the atmosphere of the legendary music festival in the evening.
2018 was the inaugural ZZ Unplugged Ski Tour, after a few years off in 2023 we are pleased to announce it's back in our programme. The line-up is yet to be confirmed but rest assured if previous years are anything to go by, you won't be disappointed!
Here's the tour programme:
Day 1 - Meet in Zinal
Stay overnight
Day 2 - Ski tour up to the Cabane de Mountets (5 hours)
Stay overnight.
Day 3 - Ski tour over the Col Durand (head of the Zinal valley
Ski down to Zermatt (3 hours up and 2 down).
Lunch and ski in Zermatt
Zermatt Unplugged Festival in the evening
Stay overnight - Hotel Tbc
Day 4 - Ski Zermatt (perhaps Schwartztor descent)

Stay overnight - Hotel Tbc
Day 5 - End of our programme. You may want to stay on for more skiing and more of the festival... up to you to make your own plans from hereon!
All transfers, accommodation and guiding will be arranged by us - all you need to do is book your flights. We plan to have our festival party gear driven round from Zinal to Zermatt - so you don't have to dance in your ski boots!
Group size: Min 4
Level of ski fitness required: The journey from Zinal to Zermatt over the Col Durand involves a total of 8 hours of easy skinning over two days. We grade this as an intermediate level ski tour.
Options: If, for example, your 'significant other' doesn't want to ski tour, but is on for the skiing and music in Zermatt, this of course could be arranged too.
Cost: From CHF1000 (3 x nights accom and guiding. Festival tickets and lift passes not included).
